Hole in One Original
Western Red Cedar - 11”x14” original
I’m an 86-year-old Western Red Cedar from the East Sooke region.
My most noticeable feature is my missing pith. The pith is the centre of a tree, where my oldest rings reside. Thanks to some meddlesome fungi, my poor pith had been slowly degrading. The fungi entered through weaknesses in my bark and caused rotting from the inside out. The other thing you probably notice about me is the bottom left of my print, where you can see a branch that was starting to form.
The black rings represent my winter growth; whereas the white rings represent my summer growth.
Each original comes with a copy of your tree’s story.
All originals are made to order.
Frame is not included.
